The Guy from That Thing You Probably Saw
MEET Jimmy
New Jersey native Jimmy Palumbo is a seasoned entertainer with a knack for bringing laughs and life to every role. With over 100 television and film credits under his belt, Jimmy has been performing since 1989, earning his place as a recognizable face in show business.
You’ve probably spotted Jimmy in hit TV shows like The Michael Che Show, Katy Keene, Gotham, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Orange Is the New Black, The Jim Gaffigan Show, and Boardwalk Empire—just to name a few! (Seriously, the list goes on.)
But Jimmy doesn’t stop at acting—he’s also the voice behind several radio and TV campaigns. His commercial work spans brands like Papa John’s, Nationwide, Iams, Orbitz, Hewlett-Packard, Mercedes-Benz, Wendy’s, Pepsi, and even the New York Lotto.
Off-camera, Jimmy is no stranger to the stage, having performed stand-up comedy at iconic venues like Carolines, Stand-Up New York, Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club, The Comedy Store, The Comic Strip, Zanies, and The Improv. Whether it’s delivering punchlines or playing the everyman on-screen, Jimmy knows how to command a crowd.
When asked how it all started, Jimmy says, “My dad was a total old-movie buff. Our TV was basically a Turner Classic Movies shrine. One day I auditioned for a community theater play, and the director was crazy enough to give me a shot. I got the acting bug, picked up a copy of Backstage Magazine, and started hustling for auditions. Eventually, I landed a sketch comedy gig called The Improvables with Artie Lange, which got some great reviews—and, well, here I am!”
Whether he’s cracking up audiences or nailing that blue-collar, salt-of-the-earth charm, Jimmy Palumbo is a guy you can’t help but root for—on screen, on stage, and everywhere in between.
